Reservations
Clerk :
|
Responsible
for greeting customers, answering the telephone, taking reservations,
collecting money, selling miscellaneous items, handing out gear
to customers, and miscellaneous paper work. Knowledge of the Denali
Park area, previous cash register and reservation system experience
a plus. This position requires a 40 hour work week consisting
of four 9 hour shifts and one 4 hour shift. |

Bus
Driver :
|
Must
have and submit a clean driving record, a commercial drivers
license or be willing to get one, be able to pass a drug & alcohol
test, and have a current CDL physical. Must be able to drive a 44
passenger bus with a trailer on the back and be able to back
up bus and trailer with accuracy. Responsible for local pickups and
trip drop offs. Need a friendly disposition and ability to handle
a hectic schedule. Must have seven years driving experience.
This position works a variable schedule ranging from 5 hours a day
to 10 hours a day generally, forty to fifty hours a week. (Denali
Raft will be willing to pay the cost for Alaskan/CDL upon completion
of seasonal contract. Must be available to train starting May 10th)

River
Guide :
|
We
are looking for friendly, outgoing people that enjoy talking with
people and that do not mind working long days. The job requires
that each guide row three 2 hour trips a day, five days a week.
The three trip times will vary daily depending on how many people
are booked the night before. Please e-mail us for job qualifications.

Raft
Office Front Desk Manager:
|
Qualifications:
Experience working in rafting industry taking reservations, handling
cash, and auditing. Must be friendly and outgoing. Applicants must
be experienced with MS Office, Internet & E-mail, fax machine,
credit card machine, Computer hardware and software, be able to handle
logistics and carry out managerial techniques such as scheduling,
conflict resolution and teambuilding.
Duties:
Actively shares front desk duties, manages trains, oversees, and
schedules staff of five. Front desk staff sells and markets raft
trips on the phone, in person, and via e-mail maintains reservations
confirmations, handles logistics by monitoring, interpreting and
communicate reservation information to other staff. Operations liaison:
coordinating with owner, manager, guides and drivers to provide
quality operations and customer service.

Gift
Shop Clerk :
|
Responsible
for selling Alaskan Gifts, inventory and tagging of merchandise,
selling and recording gift items, selling raft trips, keeping the
store tidy, previous retail experience a plus. This position requires
40 to 30 hours per week consisting of four ten hour shifts or three
ten hour shifts 10 am to 8 pm. |

Boat
Warehouse Person :
|
Prior
experience with raft repair would be a plus, but not required. Job
responsibilities are raft and dry suit repair, maintenance and care
along with other duties as required. |

|
|
Bookkeeper
:
|
Prior
experience required, the job requires knowledge of expense categories,
Payroll, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, human resources,
and computer skills. |
|
|
Federal
Law requires all employees to provide positive documentation and proof
of eligibility to work in the United States. Upon arrival employees must
provide the personnel staff with such documentation. A current US passport
will satisfy this requirement. In lieu of a passport employees must present
a social security card or certified copy of a birth certificate
along with one along with one of the following: a driver's license with
photo, state ID card with photo or a US military card. No person will
be employed without the required documentation

Jobs Location :
Our
housing facilities are located at mile post 230, 128 miles south of Fairbanks
and 230 miles north of Anchorage on the George Parks Highway. The
office is located at mile 238.5 about 3/4 of a mile north of the entrance
to Denali National Park and Preserve.

Alaska
Jobs Crew Housing : Rooms:
Denali Raft Adventures, Inc. offers dormitory style rooms at $100
per month. Everyone gets a roommate. The condition of your room
will be recorded when you check in. Damages to your room or
any Denali Raft Adventures, Inc. property will be deducted from
your paycheck and is grounds for termination.
Transportation
: Starting
from approximately May 20th, there is daily motor coach and railway
service from Fairbanks to Anchorage. Most major airlines fly to
Anchorage International Airport with connections to Fairbanks. If
you have your own vehicle, the driving time from Anchorage
is approximately five hours and approximately two hours from
Fairbanks.
Activities:
Include
white water raft trips, hiking and camping, limited fishing,
berry picking in season, the shuttle bus wildlife viewing in Denali
National Park and helicopter tours or flight-seeing tours around
Mt.
McKinley and the Denali Park area. Evening activities include dances,
movies and slide shows.
